O Procon Municipal de Sorocaba, órgão vinculado à Secretaria de Governo (Segov) da Prefeitura de Sorocaba, iniciou nesta terça-feira (3) uma ação com o objetivo de acompanhar o preço dos combustíveis nos postos da cidade. O intuito é verificar e monitorar possíveis aumentos injustificados nos preços praticados.
A iniciativa surgiu após disparada do preço do petróleo no mercado internacional, decorrente da recente guerra no Oriente Médio. Durante a fiscalização, os postos que estiverem desalinhados às boas práticas de mercado serão identificados e, se constatado abuso, haverá aplicação de multa nos termos do Código de Defesa do Consumidor (CDC).
“Atuante em todo o município, o Procon Sorocaba verifica o cumprimento do CDC nos mais variados estabelecimentos de diversos ramos de atividade, incluindo os postos de combustíveis, que se trata de um serviço contínuo. Porém, as atividades nesses estabelecimentos voltadas ao consumidor final serão intensificadas, a fim de evitar e punir irregularidades em postos de combustíveis”, aponta o superintendente do órgão, Carlos Alberto de Lima Rocco Junior.
O Procon orienta a população sobre a inexistência de controle ou tabelamento de preços, incluindo o de combustíveis em todo território brasileiro, onde é válida a livre precificação. É recomendável que o consumidor sempre acompanhe os preços médios praticados em sua região, para possibilitar uma escolha mais econômica na hora do abastecimento de seu veículo, sempre levando em conta a qualidade e a confiabilidade do produto.
Nos postos, os valores dos combustíveis precisam estar visíveis, tanto nas bombas quanto nos painéis da entrada do estabelecimento, para que consumidor visualize a qualquer momento, sem dificuldade. “No caso dos preços dos combustíveis, é importante ressaltar que essa informação deve ser prestada de modo que o consumidor não seja induzido ao erro quanto ao real valor que irá pagar ao abastecer o seu veículo”, destaca o superintendente do Procon Sorocaba.
